Aluminium billets hot top casting explosion solution
For aluminium billets hot top casting, if there is any explosion, will mean that there must be aluminium with water. There is a trouble shooting method for your reference. limited for hot top casting only.
1. After stop the casting, did you disassembled any die? If yes, please check
1.1 there are a small holes on the die, please chech if they are block. Attached the picture for your reference.
1.2 then check the small holes of the up ring and down right whether block or not, and chekc the sealing ring if in right position, if not in the right position, they will make the thible wet.
2. Before casting, dry the table, if you use the table everyday, then no need. When drying, please be careful. Don't damage the sealing ring can not stand high temperature.
2.1 when the dummy block head matches the die, the guide pillar get 1-2mm space. Don't take the guide ring, every corner must be same and make sure the level.
2.2 before the aluminium liquid flow into the table, open a little water, contril it by manual (if automatic, the start up water may be too large).
2.3 after aluminium liquid flow into the table, the dummy block head should be dry.
2.4 during the table down, if some bubble (aluminum liquid upturning), turn small the water. Normally, it will turn up.
3. Finish
No need to turn off the water, just operate as usually, when the auluminum billet leaves the die, then turn off the water, they are block.

Aluminium melting and casting is a very high temperature work,
it should be as follows:
3.1 wear a good safety uniforms set: mask, shoes, gloves, cotton hat, cotton socks, thick denim overalls.
3.2 must be provided and operating regulations plant operation.
3.3 during casting process, must have 3 people at least were present custody.
